Liga Terezin tells the story of Jewish prisoners who played hundreds of soccer matches in front of thousands of spectators in the Theresienstadt ghetto in Czechoslovakia from 1942 to 1944. The film explores how the soccer matches provided a brief escape from the prisoners' reality of hunger, sickness, fear, and death.
